BankBazaar is a Chennai based online loan portal that makes it easy for the customers to apply for loans and easy for the banks to estimate the risk of the borrower. In a very simple interface they take a few important details from the potential borrower and pass it on to the partner banks with a risk rating. This enables the banks to easily finish the loan processing loop and provides the borrowers with more choices. The founding team consist of ex-Microsoft, Deloitte employees. They have a tie up with MSN to build MSN’s India content and have a smattering of personal finance tools in their site. Recently, they got a $6M Series A funding in March 2011.
